Information about the decision to join the Government School Donation Scheme:

As a decile 6 school, we have been given the option to join the Government’s new school donation scheme from 2020. Additional information on this can be found attached to this article. 

It is highly likely that we will join this scheme as we feel that this will be in the best interests of our school and our community. 

This will mean that as a school we will no longer ask for any donations from our community. There may still be requests for a contribution for very specific activities that your students will be involved in, like school camps that involve an overnight stay. 

The Board of Trustees will make their final decision at their Board meeting on Wednesday 23 October. If you would like to add any comments about this decision please email them through the Principal’s PA, Mrs Chris Page at cp@tauhara.school.nz 

As with any Board Meeting, you are welcome to attend the meeting. It is helpful that you inform that Board that you wish to attend the meeting prior to the date.
