NZ Geothermal Week Challenge

James Lamb —

Congratulations to Year 9 girls Stevie Manunui, Kelly Karaka, Ella Johnson & Pania Morehu-Rhynd for recently presenting their winning NZ Geothermal Week Challenge entry to a group of GNS Scientists. Their team vision was for the creation of ‘Te Pupu’ village in Taupo that includes housing, tourism, education, culture, farming and geothermal and highlighted the linkages between these, including an R & D hub. The girls each received an iPad for their winning entry & are members of the Year 9 STEAM class.
