Harcourts Good Sort of the Month

T C —

Awesome acknowledgment for our Kura Kai team and the great work they do for our community. - Kau pai te mahi.

Harcourts Good Sort of the month goes to Kirsty Trevor-Hose & Ben Bisley with Kura Kai NZ.

Kura Kai has been in Tauhara College for approximately one year now and this is thanks to the hard work of Kirsty who is our Kura Kai Coordinator.

This year Tauhara has piloted our Kura Kai Rangatahi initiative, which involves students' cooking meals for their Kura Kai Freezer. Kirsty has gone over and above her normal teaching role which has meant that our Charity now uses Tauhara College as a benchmark of how Kura Kai can make a positive impact in the community.

Chef Ben, who also works at the College, has done an amazing job in teaching the students cooking skills whilst pumping out hundreds of meals!

They are a team that just get on with it and have a great connection with their students.

We are looking at expanding our Kura Kai programme for community volunteers to be able to continue to provide meals over the summer break. If you are interested in helping out with this at all, or if you would like to nominate anyone to receive any of our Kura Kai meals, please email tk@tauhara.school.nz

We would also like to acknowledge the Taupo Social Club for pairing with our Kura Kai programme through GoGenerosity. They will be providing meals for our freezer each month which is amazing. You can help them to support us by ‘paying it forward’ when you settle the bill when you dine there.
