Grace Davies has done a beautiful dance performance, as a final goodbye to our school. Here is her message.....

‘Godspeed’ is my year 13 DanceNZMade solo piece that I choreographed as a ‘goodbye’ to Tauhara College and my 5 wonderful years here. I have been so blessed to have spent my college years at Tauhara, and truly believe that this time has made me the person that I am today. The staff, my peers and all of the people that have supported me throughout college will always hold a dear place in my heart and I really can’t imagine how my experience would have been without them. Tauhara College Dance has been a special aspect of my life since the first day I stepped foot into the school. I have continually felt loved, valued and welcomed into the dance family, and now pride myself on being able to do the same for younger dancers who are coming up through the years. The movements that I have experimented with are to show the growth and expansion of myself that has occurred since I have been at Tauhara College. A significant lyric being, “I will always love you, how I do.” I will always love Tauhara College, and I love it so much that it makes it even harder to let go and move on. My contemporary/lyrical interpretation of the music is a physical embodiment of my love and the feeling of letting go.
