Tauhara College Taupo completed another step in their restoration project of Plantation Reserve. Three classes met with Tania from Taupō District Council to plant alongside the shops on Taharepa and Crown Road. 

Right away passersby noticed the improvement with the planting. Then the students trekked to the other side and started mulching a site previously planted this year with the college. A big beautiful cover of mulch was laid down around the plants to suppress the weeds and help retain any moisture. 

 A massive thank you to the community neighbours that have agreed to help with water for the sites during Term 4 and the summer. That is a perfect example of how these projects can bring the community together.
