Delta Day and Shyia Nixon completed in a 6 Hour Adventure race in Whakatane over the weekend as part of a three person female year 11 - 13 student team. Along with their younger cousin they had a very successful day and managed to come first in their category. The race included trekking, mountain biking and navigation. The weather was horrible but they started and finished with smiles on their faces.

I just wanted to express how proud I was of these two young people. They display many traits of future young leaders including tenacity, endurance, passion and respect. They are a credit to your school and a role model to younger students.
