At Tauhara College we have a Physical Education uniform that we would like our students to wear when possible. However, at this time of year, the juniors have Physical Education three-four times a week and we are working on Fitter, Stronger, Faster units for our Year 9 and Year 10's. Logistically we understand that it is not practical to have clean Physical Education uniform for every lesson. This would mean washing and drying PE gear nearly every night, especially during this warm autumn that we are having and the training that our juniors are doing. We would like our Year 9 and Year 10's to be wearing their PE uniform when they can and show some independence and self-management by washing their own PE uniforms when they can. However, when this doesn't happen as a PE staff we are happy with an appropriate change of clothes. At times this is far more preferable than wearing smelly PE uniform.
