One of the year 12 Outdoor Education classes completed an expedition to assess rafting, navigation, tramping and camping credits. The students completed three day tramps around the mountains and spent a day rafting on the Tongariro river. They camped out in tents in some pretty extreme weather and handled it very well. Some highlights of the trip were tramping in the snow for the first time for many of the students, cooking some pretty good feeds and Hunter sharing her shorts with me.
