Naomi Reidel has been selected by her peers to co-chair the School Sport NZ Student Athlete Commission for 2022, following on from last years inaugural (and challenging year) of Commission.

The Student Athlete Commission has identified raising the profile of Secondary School Sport through positive media coverage of school sport as an initial project.

We will ensure that Naomi’s time is used effectively and with minimal disruption to curriculum time. However, given her co-chair role and how the commissions desire for face to face meetings there will be occasions where we will ask that members are made available to attend during curriculum time.

The 2022 Student Athlete Commission comprises of eleven members from across the country. I look forward to having this group provide direct voice to the work we carry out on behalf of member schools and its students.
