CACTUS 2025 Concludes with New Faces and an Epic Finale!
The 20th iteration of the CACTUS programme at Tauhara College, CACTUS 2025, is drawing to a close this week, marking another successful journey of growth and challenge for its participants. This term has been particularly exciting, welcoming a significant influx of 28 new students eager to embrace the CACTUS experience.
The programme has also been bolstered by fresh leadership, with four new mentors – Mikayla, Mikayde, Holly, and Jackson – joining the team. Their energy and guidance have undoubtedly been invaluable to the new recruits. Adding to the positive changes, the CACTUS whānau proudly welcomed a new staff member, Bridget, who has already earned legendary status within the group!
The familiar and friendly face of caretaker Michael also returned, providing his continued support to the course. Stepping up in crucial staff and mentor roles, Jen and AJ have been acknowledged for their outstanding contributions and dedication, playing a vital part in the smooth running and positive atmosphere of CACTUS 2025.
The programme's success is also thanks to the generous financial backing of Taupo International Motorsport Park, whose support has been instrumental in making this experience possible for the students.
Wednesday afternoon was the "Longest Day" and concluded on Thursday afternoon. This epic undertaking was a challenging and memorable experience for all involved.
Sgt Shane McNally extends his best wishes to all CACTUS members as they embark on this final challenge, looking forward to celebrating their achievements at the conclusion on Thursday evening.
Congratulations to all involved in CACTUS 2025 on reaching this milestone!
