In June this year, a new Board was elected. Three Trustees were reappointed and three Trustees were new. Since this time, the Board has worked very hard to continue the implementation of systems and processes to ensure we are delivering a quality education for all students.

Zoe has involved herself in a wide range of activities over her five years at Tauhara College. She is a long time member of the Kids Greening Taupo team, a member of the Loves-Me-not group and Deputy Canoe Leader for Arawa. She has taken on all these roles and given her best to them. On the sporting front Zoe has played netball for the past five years. In 2018 Zoe completed the CACTUS course and went on to be accepted in a student mentor role this year. Well done Zoe, you have truly made an excellent contribution to our school.

Farewell and Best Wishes to Vanessa McArthur and Harriet Filer
We would like to acknowledge and farewell Vanessa McArthur and Harriet Filer, teachers in our Special Needs Unit. They leave Tauhara to take up new positions in our community. Vanessa will work as a Learning Support Coordinator and Harriet will teach at Hilltop School. Vanessa and Harriet have both been part time teachers in our Special Needs Unit and have worked itinerantly as specialist teachers in our local primary schools, under the Tauhara College umbrella. We would like to thank them for their contributions. They have both gone well beyond their expected duties. We wish them well.
