We packed up Tuesday afternoon and headed to Tauranga for our first-ever girls' rugby tournament in the Southern Chiefs Competition.

Unfortunately, once we were over there and settled into our whare for the night, we received a phone call; The tournament had been postponed. Blake Park was closed due to the weather and the condition of the fields.

Although the team was gutted not to represent our kura in such a big competition, we still ensured we enjoyed the trip away!
