On June 3rd the Taupō community will celebrate Greening Taupō Day with a huge Arbor Day Planting Event. Luckily for us, it is right on our doorstep at Crown Park! There will be 4500 native plants going into the ground. There will also be a free sausage sizzle, fruit and soup, along with a huge range of free activities. Emergency services will be there to talk to the students and show them their vehicles. Conservation experts will be onsite with stands and fun activities too. Even the 'Bug Man,' Ruud Kleinpaste, will be there running bug hunting activities. Please come along and join in the fun! Official opening with the mayor is at 9:30. The event finishes at 1pm. Bring your gardening gloves and a drink bottle!
