The New Zealand Symphony Orchestra is offering a fantastic opportunity for music students and community musicians to play side by side with the orchestra!


NZSO Side-by-Side Session: Thursday 8 June, 3:30pm – 4:15pm, Taupo Great Lake Centre

Repertoire: Pirates of the Caribbean (Klaus Badelt, arranged by Michael Sweeney)Symphony No. 9, movement 4 (Antonin Dvorak, arranged by Richard Meyer)Intermezzo from Cavalleria Rusticana (Pietro Mascagni)

This session will be conducted by our Music Director Emeritus, James Judd. Participants will experience what it is like to sit next to and play alongside our NZSO players on the repertoire listed above.

We want our side-by-side sessions to be an enjoyable and informal opportunity for music students & community musicians to playthrough fun music and learn a few tips from our players You don't need to stress about being note-perfect!
