We're on the lookout for more police-vetted parent helpers!

Help us provide amazing education outside the classroom opportunities by getting police vetted and being a parent helper.

As with every year, our amazing team members are excitedly planning camps, sports events, and other education outside the classroom (EOTC) events for 2024.

EOTC recognises that learning occurs everywhere and isn't confined to the four (or multiple) walls of our learning spaces, immersing our tamariki in authentic "real world" learning contexts.

Central to the planning of EOTC is prioritising the safety of our tamariki and ensuring adequate supervision and support for our learners. The overwhelming support from our amazing school whānau enables us to offer a diverse range of experiences for our tamariki. We couldn't provide these opportunities without you!

It is a requirement that all parent helpers leading groups or supporting children away from the direct supervision of a staff member undergo police vetting. This step provides an additional layer of security to ensure the safety of our tamariki.

If you are interested in becoming a parent helper for an upcoming event this year or think you might want to be a parent helper later on, we kindly request that you undergo the police vetting process.

Here's what you need to do:

Step 1: Complete the following two forms:

Step 2: Bring your Driver’s Licence and another form of ID (Passport, 18+ card, NZ Full Birth Certificate etc) to the school office to get your ID sighted and copied.

If you have been police vetted elsewhere, you will still need to complete vetting for school, but usually, these are returned very quickly.

Once again - thank you. Your support is invaluable and our tamariki are fortunate to have such an amazing and supportive school community behind them.

Ngā mihi nui
