On 11th May, Tauranga Boys' College hosted our first Junior Model United National event for the year.

The turnout was impressive, with around 30 students in attendance from Trident High School, Whakatane High School, Papamoa High School, Mount Maunganui College, Te Puke High School, Tauranga Girls' College, and Tauranga Boys' College.

Students took on the role of countries to argue motions related to shared international concerns. The final round was the most entertaining when the hearty issues of Taylor Swift's music and legislation on the consumption of sushi hit the agenda.

Thank you to all the boys who volunteered to help run the event. A special shout-out goes to Alex Gorman, Junho Lee, Ollie Farquharson, and Iggy Corsame for organizing the event.
