TBC Student Cody Algar takes the win in the Cadet Male 60 kg category.

TBC student Cody Gallagher, the youngest member of TGA Box Boxing Club, participated in the Boxing NZ National Championships in Christchurch from October 1st to 5th, 2024.

Cody only had 4 fights prior to attending the competition. He fought in his final on Friday 4th October against Kane Jensen from TSB (Top of South Island Boxing) in 3 x 1.5 minute rounds for Cadets (12 – 14 years old). He won by way of 4 : 1 split decision becoming Boxing New Zealand Cadet Male 60 kg National Champion, receiving a medal and certificate.
