A group of Year 10 students attended the ‘Inspiring STEM’ workshop hosted by the University of Waikato, Tauranga campus last week.

The boys experienced a taster of what STEM looks like at a tertiary level and took full advantage of the opportunity to delve into a curated array of our STEM initiatives.

The boys built gumball machines with Engineering, learned about marine invaders with Marine Science, designed programmes with Computer Science, and extracted DNA from strawberries with Biology

The boys represented the school exceptionally well and found the day enjoyable and intellectually stimulating.

TBC is looking forward to attending again next year.
