This week, students have had several opportunities to learn about different career pathways and study options with BECA Engineering, Victoria University, and Queenstown Resort College.
BECA Engineering Careers Day Out gave 10 lucky students the opportunity to spend a day at BECA headquarters, learn about BECA, and visit some of the worksites they have in the Tauranga CBD.
The University of Victoria Lecturer for their Space Science degree, astrophysicist Dr Yvette Perrott, came to talk with the students about all things space. Yvette explained pathways and study options in an interesting topic and gave students mini-lectures to showcase what space science at university would be like.
Lastly, Queenstown Resort College (QRC) came to discuss study options in Tourism and Hospitality management. Students at QRC complete industry placement internships, where they learn hands-on in the field.
