NZEI Union Meeting - Teachers
Dear parents/caregivers and whanau,
On Wednesday 8 May, teachers will be attending a NZEI Union meeting. This meeting is being held so teachers can discuss and vote on collective agreement claims for its teacher members in primary, area, intermediate, kura kuapapa, and special schools.
The Board has considered options, taking into account as little disruption to parents as possible and maximising student learning this day. Teachers will be at school until 12:15pm so that instructional teaching can continue. As all teaching staff are Union members, if students can be picked up from school at 12:15pm and all school buses will run from this time.
Teachers will then leave school at 12:30pm to attend their meeting at Mount Maunganui.
School’s Out will run their After School Programme from 12:30 for those families that need this service. Contact Melanie Watts on 021 244 2116 or email at tauriko@schoolsout.co.nz
I will be back at school ensuring the afternoon runs smoothly and if you have any queries or concerns at all, as always please don’t hesitate to contact me.
Regards,
Suzanne Billington
