On Wednesday 18th October, students from Room 5, 6, and 7 had an exciting trip to Classic Flyers in Mount Maunganui.
This trip was an exciting introduction to our new unit on flight and provided a fantastic learning experience for all of us.
During our visit, we had the opportunity to explore various aircraft, including the Skyhawk, fuselage, Catalina, gliders, and helicopters. We not only saw these aircrafts but also learned about how they functioned and delved into the fascinating world of aviation history.
But our adventure wasn't limited to just aircraft. The students also had the chance to explore an aviation fire truck. They watched as the fire truck demonstrated its water sprayers and even had the opportunity to step through the cab. It was a cool experience that left us all impressed.
This trip ignited a keen interest in aviation among the students, and we are now eagerly looking forward to further exploring the world of flight.
