Te Karakia ō te kura ō Tauriko: Competition Winners!
Jo Te Whaiti - September 29, 2021
During Māori Language Week we held a competition where students had the opportunity to submit clips of themselves reciting our school karakia.
We were thrilled with the large number of entries we received across the school. It was very hard to choose winners from each year level as so many of the entires were excellent! In the end we decided on the following tamariki who all did a superb job of reciting the karakia:
Angelique Barclay
Emily Ah Chee
Isla McRae
Azaleah Kestle
Viraj Sandhu
Brooke Nelson
Tenielle Williams
Esmee Newland
Our winners each received a certificate and a goodie bag.
We have put together a clip of our winners reciting the karakia together. We invite you to listen and to have a go at the end. Kia kaha te reo Māori!
