The Tall Poppies led activities for some of the junior classes as part of Leadership Week.

In week 10 of term 2, Tauriko School celebrated our annual Leadership Week. As part of this, the Tall Poppies organised activities with some junior and middle classes (Room 3, 5 and 6).

First we had to plan our activities. We had to decide on an activity that our buddies would enjoy. Then we had to think of what to bring and what we needed to make.

Some groups did arts and crafts, sports, reading and paper planes. My group ( Lacey, Casey and I) did cupcake decorating. That was really fun. We had to bake the cupcakes and make the icing. The girls in our group were excited. We were pleased that they enjoyed our activity.

I really enjoyed doing the buddy class for Leadership Week. It was super fun planning and preparing it, and helping the little kids with their decorating. I’m excited for next year's Leadership Week. I wonder what we will do with our buddy classes?
