In Week 2 Term 3, the Year 5 and 6 syndicate went to the Gordon Carmichael Reserve in Bethlehem to conduct experiments.

We focused on water quality testing, bug identification, bird watching and we had a scavenger hunt identifying plants and birds.

My favourite part was testing the water quality using a tube and tape measure to look for visibility. We found out that the water rating of the Wetlands was a ‘7’ which means it was ‘good’.

Thank you to Van from the Tauranga Council for organising the Wetlands Discovery event. We had a very fun time at the Wetlands.

And a special thank you to all the teachers and parent helpers that came.
