Room 12 - Hello & Goodbye Poetry
As we returned to school after the Covid 19 Lockdown 2020, we were able to say "hello" to our new normal and "goodbye" to lockdown. Room 12 wrote about new things they were now experiencing and compared these things to lockdown, adding descriptions and feelings. Here are a few examples. Please feel welcome to come and read more on our class display in Room 12.
Hello Goodbye Poem
By Elsa Mead
Hello friends in real life, lovely to hear you laugh.
Goodbye skype and facetime friends, no more screens between us.
Hello noisy bell at 8:30, ringing in my ears.
Goodbye quietness, birds chirping, Flint barking and mum reminding me to get online.
Hello oranges for breakfast, sweet and juicy, food on the go as we rush off for the day.
Goodbye fresh berry smoothies, refreshing and sweet running down my throat, sipping you slowly.
Hello every person in my class, my covid 19 bubble has been broken. Goodbye family bubble, we have now doubled our bubble.
Hello putting hand sanitizer on 24/7, my hands are the cleanest they have ever been.
Goodbye fancy soft-soap, your fragrance was like lavender filling my nose with flowers.
