On Thursday the 27th of April, two Year 7 and 8 EPro8 teams went to Tauranga Intermediate to compete against 10 other schools from local areas.

The event was between 5 to 8 at night. The top 4 teams would go through to the next round. When teams arrived they headed to their assigned area where they would compete. As the timer started the teams raced off to decide which challenges they would start with.The atmosphere was tense as the teams competed to advance their points by completing challenges assigned to the builds they had chosen. The parents cheered their kids on as some teams completed one task and moved on to the next. There were harder and easier tasks as some required more maths and others included more use of electronics. People moved up the leaderboard as they completed more and more tasks, gaining more points. Afterwards the Judge moved up the front and announced the top 4 teams. Sadly the Tauriko teams were not included in the top 4, but did extremely well in getting that far in the challenge.
