Congratulations to our Year 5 and 6 Tauriko Teams who competed in the ‘Amazing Race Challenge’ on Friday 17th May at Te Puna Quarry Park.

 Students had to demonstrate problem solving skills and teamwork completing a range of challenges all within a set time. There were many schools competing at this annual event and Tauriko achieved outstanding results. Our Tauriko Black Team took out the competition with a total of 35 points. Our Red Team placed 5th overall and also won the lolly jar for the closest guess. 

The teams consisted of: 

Tauriko Black - Brooke Barnett, Regan Cumming, Micah Verstappen, Xavier Weatherley, Georgi McGuffie, Larissa Simmonds

Tauriko Red - Kobe Taylor, Sophie Neustroski, Paige van Dijk, Tyler Wilson, Hannah Rawson, Drew Bryan
