Principal's Message

Suzanne Billington —

Kia Ora Koutou Katoa, Talofa Lava, Malo e Lelei, Ni Hao, Anyoung Haseyo, Konichi Wa, Gruetzi, Guten Tag, Bonjour, Ola, Hello.

Welcome back to what promises to be a wonderful term! A special warm welcome to all our new students who started this week, and to our two new staff members Jasmine Mattock (in Wee Sprouts) and Lesa Hall (Room 14).

We look forward to Book Week, ARGOS Gym visits, the annual choir festival, Tall Poppies Sports Camp, AIMS Games, the Year 5 & 6 Wetlands trip, Year 3 & 4 Katikati Museum trip, West Cluster 7s winter sports tournament for Year 5 & 6, Nursery Rhyme and Poetry recitals, Speech writing and presenting, and a cricket awareness programme for the whole school. The term will finish with our wonderful centennial celebration September 21st  and  22nd. The school has a proud history of educational excellence in the Tauriko/Lakes district and students will enjoy learning about aspects of this over the next term.

The Tauriko School Centenary committee  (Deidre Ewart, Jolene Nelson, Lisa Rose and Kay Taylor) are working extremely hard to ensure that this event is one to be remembered. There is information on our school website and facebook page. Please make any past pupils, staff, parents and community members involved in the school aware of this as this will be a great couple of days to reminisce and celebrate together!

Here's to a great term!
