Attitude Presentation - Who Am I?

Jo Te Whaiti —

The Tall Poppies were excited to have Lex Mawson from the Parenting Place in to share some wisdom on knowing yourself and making good decisions.

The Attitude intermediate programme covers four essential health topics for intermediate students. The aim is to align topics with students’ current learning.

Friendship Factor

Healthy and positive friendships set young people up for success. Content includes building friendships, handling rejection, conflict, and bullying.

Who Am I?

Making positive decisions now will help teenagers develop into someone they can be proud of. Content includes identity, self-esteem, the power of choices, and keys to a happy life.

Puberty

It’s no secret that puberty can be awkward, so let’s make it easier to talk about. Content includes major physical changes, emotional changes, and healthy head messages.

Tackling Technology

Young people need new skills and guidance as they navigate their digital world. Content includes text bullying, online safety, communication, building character, and balance.

Over the course of two years, our Tall Poppies cover all four areas, with some covered annually.

Our first session for 2019, 'Who Am I?' covered making positive decisions. Being able to make good decisions now now will help our students to develop into someone they can be proud of. The session also looked into identity, self-esteem, the power of choices, and keys to a happy life.
