'Robin in da Hood' - 2019 School Production

Lisa Rose —

We were so very proud to showcase 'Robin in da Hood' last week at Bethlehem College. This was our third time working with Patrice from Gobsmacked.

It was wonderful to celebrate the Arts in such style and to have this learning area in the 'spotlight', with akonga from Years 1-8 involved in dance, drama and music.

There are some very special acknowledgements and people to thank:

  • Our Gold Sponsor and Supporters Extraordinare - our PTA. As always, a wonderful group of people who always go that extra mile. Thanks PTA. A special thank you for being on the front desk for the 3 shows.
  • Our Bronze Sponsors - ITed and Sharp - both businesses are involved with our school and it's awesome to have their support.
  • Class Furniture for providing coffee and muffins for staff.
  • Emma Graham for a sterling job (yet again) with ticket sales. Thanks so much Emma.
  • A special thank you to our stage manager, Jo Te Whaiti, and our choir trainers, Natalie van Dijk and Natasha Edhouse.
  • Esther Vos and Jules Rutherford - our fastidious photographers who did an amazing job! (And a big one!!)
  • Tyler and Cameron Vos who supported tirelessly for the three days at BC - thank you both for your work on the spotlight and backstage.
  • To all our parent and ex-student volunteers - thank you. There is so much appreciation for the medley of jobs you supported us with over the three days - make-up and hair, supporting teachers and classes with all those odd jobs that need doing, helping out the back, helping on the door, costume changes...the jobs are vast and varied!
  • Athalae Elliott, thanks for a great job overseeing schoolwide buses to and from BC each day.
  • Patrice and the Gobsmacked Team - thanks for another awesome job! Patrice, your energy is incredible. Thanks so much for working your magic with us.
