Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon

Natalie van Dijk —

The Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon is coming and they are inviting schools to be part of this iconic event by registering a SCHOOL GROUP now.

The 2016/2017 series saw nearly 650 school groups register and 29,000 Kiwi kids give it a TRY, making it the biggest series yet.

It is open to Kiwi kids, aged 7-15 years, of all sporting abilities. The TRY-athlon is a fun day out for kids, parents and teachers alike. Kids get to swim, cycle, and run their way around age appropriate courses and can enter either as an individual or as part of a team of two.

Every participant who enters the Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon receives:

  • A Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon medal
  • A downloadable certificate of achievement
  • An official Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon t-shirt, drawstring kit bag and swim cap
  • Complimentary breakfast from the Weet-Bix Breakfast Tent
  • PLUS the chance to WIN awesome spot prizes and meet their sporting heroes.

They are asking for schools to register a school group now and be part of the Bay of Plenty event at Mount Maunganui on Sunday 3rd of December, Arataki Park.

Benefits of entering a school group:

  • Students will be eligible for the 'Special School Group' entry price.
  • Our school could be in to win 1 of four great prizes thans to their sponsors Warehouse Stationary, Toyota, Bike Barn, Haier, Asics, Watties, Weet-Bix and Sanitarium.
  • Brings the school community together.

We are looking for someone who would be willing to oversee our school group registrations and be at the event on Sunday the 3rd of December. If you are interested in this job please please email Natalie van Dijk at nvandijk@tauriko.school.nz

Once we have established our school group we will let you know how to go about registering your child for this event.
