On the first Thursday of this term (17th November) we had a Year 7 and Year 8 team compete in the annual Bay Maths Competition held at Otumoetai Intermediate.  We also had two teams of Year 6 students compete in the Year 6 competition on Thursday 24th of October. Incredibly, there were over 50 teams across the Bay of Plenty that participated in both of these competitions.

Students who were selected to participate were: 

• Year 6 Team 1 - Sophie Neustroski, Brooke Barnett, Caleb Litolff

• Year 6 Team 2 - James Appleton, Drew Bryan, Micah Verstappen

• Year 7 Team - Ella Wilford, Analise Roscoe, Max Dreaneen 

• Year 8 Team - Rylee van Dijk, Ben Rikiriki, Laura James 

The questions were extremely challenging but the teams tried their very best.

Congratulations to our Year 6 Team 2 who placed an amazing 10th in the Year 6 Bay Maths Competition. We are so proud of you all!
