Jump Jam @ Tauriko School

Natalie van Dijk —

On Saturday 27th of October we had three teams compete at the North Island Regional Jump Jam competition.

All three teams have put in a lot of time and energy over the past three terms. They have had many before school and lunchtime practices and often having multiple practices in one week.

There were 200 teams across New Zealand who submitted entries for the Regional Competitions and only 100 teams were successful in making it to the next stage. We are very proud of how these teams performed even when they were up against some extremely tough competition. A huge congratulations must go to our Year 7 and 8 team who won the Year 7 and 8 Novice Category.

Year 1 - 4 (Tauriko Jumping Beans):

  • Merit in Technical Execution
  • Merit in Presentation
  • Merit in Creativity

Year 4 - 6 (Tauriko Army Squad):

  • Excellence in Technical Execution
  • Excellence in Sportsmanship
  • Merit in Costume
  • Merit in Presentation

Year 7 and 8 (Tauriko Creepers):

  • Distinction in Presentation
  • Distinction in Costume
  • Excellence in Sportsmanship
  • Merit in Creativity
  • Merit in Technical Execution

A special thank you must go to the parents who helped with costumes, hair and make-up. Without your support these things would not be possible.
