Athletics - Room 7 Writing

Sarah Taylor —

Room 7 (Year 3 & 4) was asked to write about Athletics Day today. Here are a few snippets.

On Thursday the tenth of November it was Athletics day! There were sprints, long jump, high jump, cricket ball throw, shot put and discus. I really enjoyed sprints because I came first, second and third. I was very happy and had a huge smile across my face. I was proud!

Cricket ball throw was first. Mrs Taylor was there and she made us line up in a girls and boys line. Sarah was up first and she was holding a shiny red ball that looked like a round strawberry.

In my opinion I think that my house orange had the loudest chant. I was so proud of my little brother Hadleigh, he got into the finals. He was like a flash because he was running so fast. The house relays were fun, I had butterflies in my tummy!

Food time at last. Of course everyone got food. Dillys and I got a mince pie, juicy and a cookie. Darcie (my sister) got a juicy and a cookie. The day was ... THE BEST! And the food was breathtaking!
