Monday 13 March we were visited by the crew from Tauranga City Basketball Club. Year 3 - 8 students were able to participate in a 30 minutes taster session.

Basketball is a fun and exciting game for all. Tauriko tamariki enjoyed a 30 minute taster session this week with the Tauranga City Basketball Club earlier this week. 

Basketball is a game that can be played in both Winter and Summer and a great option if your family prefer week night games over weekend sport. 

Tauriko Winter Sports Registrations came out via email this Monday, please complete the registration forms if your children are keen to join a winter sport.

Up and coming taster: Tane Bennet who is an Assistant Coach for our Whai Womens Basketball Team will be at Taurkio School in Week 10 offering a Basketball taster session for year 5 - 8 children.

Austin : "I play basketball on a Monday night at Trustpower - I love to play basketball and I am going to register for winter too. On Monday we had 2 people from Tauranga City Basketball Club com and take our team for some fun drills and games. I recommend to Tauriko kids to give basketball a go"

Kynan: "I found our session on Monday with the Tauranga Basketball coaches fun and motivating. My favourite NBA player is Luka Doncic, I love to play Basketball." 

Tayla: "I likes our taster session on Monday - it was fun."

Riley: "I liked learning new basketball skills today with the coaches".
