Room 15 - "He waka eke noa"

Liz Kriel —

Room 15 is a buzz with Hauora learning at the moment.

Room 15 is a buzz with Hauora learning at the moment. Our well-being is at the heart of what we do. We keep each other in mind and we are learning about our emotional, social, spiritual and physical well-being. We made a beautiful collaborative art display that reminds us daily to work together. We shared in the joy of creating something special, where we all had a part, we all had to contribute and we all had to share ideas and take turns. We recently created a classroom treaty. It was fun to "coffee dip" and then bake our treaty in the oven to give it a real vintage look. We did lots of learning around the treaty of Waitangi. This was the inspiration for our own treaty. Our class Korowai reminds us to take responsibility for our learning and be leaders in our own lives. He waka eke noa, we are truly in this together!
