On Monday the 5th of March Tauriko School went to swimming sports.

What an amazing swimming sports we had on Monday the 5th of March.

Congratulations to all our Year 5 - 8 swimmers who swam in competitive races last Monday.

In March, the Tall Poppies spent much of the day learning what to do in an emergency.

Our Rippa Rugby teams are having a great time out on the fields at Waipuna Park. It is especially great to see our littlest ones so new to school life giving Rippa a go and really enjoying themselves.

This year we have 17 Year 5 and 6 Jump Jam Leaders.

We are so lucky that Tigger the cat adopted us. Here she has shared a bit about herself with a little help from Daniel in the Tall Poppy class.

Constable Emma Buxton spent time in each class last week talking to students and hearing all about their learning as part of the Kia Kaha programme which was integrated into classroom themes to start the year.

Our school has been nominated for School-gen’s ‘Energising Young Minds’ competition by a member of the school community. The competition gives us the chance to win a share of $25k, $15k or $10k to spend on science or tech equipment.

Our library is a beautiful place to visit. We love having it open at lunchtime...
