Friday the 6th of July brings Term 2 to a close and what a busy term it has been. As always there has been a wide range of experiences for our learners as we strive to provide challenges, success and growth across all learning areas.

The Tall Poppies headed up into McLaren's Falls park to take part in a Forest Discovery in our very own backyard.

Making something simple complicated!

The School Council held a Funky Hair Day event on Friday the 22nd of June.

To open our annual Leadership Week, Leah Owen (TGC Head Girl) and Russell Green (TBC Deputy Head Boy) came and spoke on Monday with our Year 5-8 students.

Our Senior School students have been very lucky to participate in a Chess Taster session.

A couple of weeks ago we had two teams compete at the local Strictly Jump Jam competition.

On Friday the 16th of June 24 Year 4 - 6 students went off to Gate Pa School to compete in the West Cluster Cross Country.

Term 2 is always a big term for sport and this year has been no exception. Most of the Term 2 sports are continuing through into Term 3.

Time is flying and there are only 11 weeks to go till the Tauriko School Centenary takes place.

Thank you to all of those that came along and supported the Italian Quiz Night on the weekend. A great night was held and lots of fun had.

Hip Hop with Val is a fun introduction to dance for Year 0 – 8’s with a focus on building self-confidence for the children.

Thank you to those families that are using the new Drop Off Bay at the front of the school - the feedback we have had is that it is operating very efficiently and much faster.

Tauriko School, in particular the PTA, is very lucky to have such great community support when it comes to sponsorship of our events.
