Tawa College had a record five choirs performing at The Big Sing Wellington Regional Festival.

Those choirs were Dawn Chorus (who won a cup for the best performance of a popular piece, for Bridge Over Troubled Water), Tira Tawa, Year 9 Choir Class, InstruMENtals, and Blue Notes (who won the award for the best performance of a piece in Te Reo Māori, for Ngā Atua Māori). Their singing was absolutely beautiful, and their behaviour was impeccable. Thanks to Mr Stone, Ms Malcolm-Swindells and Mr Cameron for their hard work, and to student conductors Elisabeth Te Puni and Kyle Owen.
