Our Year 9 Readers Cup team placed 3rd= at the Wellington Regional Competition held at Wellington College, Week 9 last term.

The students were questioned on six books: Falling into Rarohenga by Steph Matuku, Caged by Susan Brocker, Iris and Me by Philippa Waeey, In Our Own Back Yard by Anne Kayes, Between the Flags by Rachel Fenton and the graphic novel, War Reporter by Muhammad Najem.

Congratulations, Eva, Jen, Phoebe, Holly and Charlie!

Sports Section

We have updated and extended our sports section in the library! This section now includes all books on sports, both nonfiction and fiction. We are hoping that our sports fans will now easily find something of interest to read!

T.C. Reading Challenge

We have over 50 students signed up for the Tawa College reading challenge! Many are well on their way to completion by the end of the year.

Just a reminder to come into the library to get your form stamped if you have completed reading a category.

Six lucky students have won a Tawa Books &  Post voucher with more soon to be drawn this term.
