Year 10 student Xavier Farland, Ngāti Porou, has been selected to represent Wellington Samoa in the Junior Oceania Tag Cup Tournament at Bruce Pulman Park, Auckland, in 2024.

Xavier’s younger twin sisters, Jilleanna and Eleanor Farland in Year 9, have also been selected to play in the tournament, representing Wellington Cook Islands. This whānau is hugely dedicated to their sports, with Xavier often playing and coaching his flag team. Kia kaha!
