Congratulations to our Senior A Netball team on their strong start to the 2024 season! The girls competed in the CSW Senior Premier Tournament on May 16th.  This is a tough and uncompromising one day tournament that has been dominated by St Mary's Senior A for many years now.  

Our girls played St Mary's in the opening game, and again in the grand final.  We won both games by one goal, which was incredibly exciting for us.  These wins are history making for Tawa - the first time beating St Mary's Senior A, and the first time winning this tournament!  Well done girls.  Tawa College are incredibly proud of you.

TAWA COLLEGE SWIMMING TEAM

On Friday 14 June six Tawa College students competed in the CSW Swim Championships. This is the only meet of the year where swimmers are able to compete for their schools as you usually compete for your club. We had lots of top ten placings on the day aided by the excellent coaching and management from Charlotte Gibbs, who was in Year 13 here last year. These swimmers were back in the pool last weekend competing at a major event - some of them are swimming across all four sessions throughout Saturday and Sunday. Their endurance and grit will really be challenged. No doubt the daily 6am training sessions will pay off!

A special mention to the Tawa Inner Wheel Club who recently donated funds to the Tawa College Sport Department which will be utilised to support our girls sports teams next Term when they attend Senior Tournament Week.
