Uniform

Katie Rawles —

A reminder of our uniform requirements and changes.

It has been great to see many of our students turning up wearing the uniform well. When worn correctly the uniform emanates a sense of unity and connection. I am particularly impressed when I see our students standing tall wearing the school blazer and we are exploring options to make this option more readily available going forward.

However, I would like to remind all students and whānau that Tawa College is a uniform school and that we expect students to come to school wearing the correct uniform. As the temperature has changed there has been an increase in students wearing non uniform items to school, which creates unnecessary conflict for staff and students. If you need support to get uniform items, please speak to the year level dean or a member of SLT.  We are happy to help as we can.

Please note that tailored long black or grey trousers may be worn but black jeans, cargo pants, tracksuit pants and leggings are not uniform items.

You can read the uniform requirements here if you need a reminder.
