Uniform - Blazers are back!
It has been great to see many of our students turning up wearing the uniform well. When worn correctly the uniform emanates a sense of unity and connection. I am particularly impressed when I see our students standing tall wearing the school blazer and we are exploring options to make this option more readily available going forward. I believe that if we are going to be a uniform school, the reintroduction of the blazer as a part of the day to day uniform would play an important role in raising the pride students have in being a Tawa College student and speak to the importance of a collective culture here at the school founded on being proud of our kura.
We have therefore decided to make the blazer available for purchase through the school. We have ordered 300 blazers as a start and will be selling them at an introductory price to encourage students to take the opportunity to wear the blazer as a part of their day to day uniform. This price is yet to be confirmed but we expect it to be between $180-$185.
There is a choice of blazer (tailored or standard). The blazers will be available from late January and we will have some samples for trying to ensure you purchase the correct size. We are therefore unable to take forward orders. But if you would like to register your interest in a blazer for 2024 please complete the following form:

Please note that tailored long black or grey trousers may be worn but black jeans, cargo pants, tracksuit pants and leggings are not uniform items. You can read the uniform requirements here if you need a reminder.
