The Tawa College Blue Notes choir performed at the televised Dawn Service on Anzac Day at Pukeahu National War Memorial in Wellington, accompanied by the Royal New Zealand Air Force Band.

As the 11am service was cancelled due to adverse weather, they were also featured in a rebroadcast later the same day. Despite the high winds and low temperatures, they performed admirably and contributed movingly to the important ceremony.

Year 12 student Estella Ritchie has been selected for the NZSO National Youth Orchestra. This an incredible achievement for a student at a secondary school, as the orchestra is largely made up of tertiary students and graduates. They are performing on Friday July 5 at 6:30pm at the Michael Fowler Centre.
