Tawa College has been recognised as one of Aotearoa New Zealand's "top-performing" secondary schools in 2023. A World Vision NZ representative will attend an assembly later this term to present Tawa College with a certificate to thank our students and staff for their efforts.
On Thursday 2 November 2023 the annual Cultural Prizegiving ceremony was held celebrating the success of our students in many aspects of the cultural life of the college.

Jabeen, Arnee, Ariana and Raima spent a couple of hours at Optimal Workshop learning about User Experience, Information Architecture and Software as a Service. They created their own categorising tool and won a paper plane design competition.

NZQA Toi Māori and Pacific Arts Showcase - Te Papa Exhibition
Year 10 student Xavier Farland, Ngāti Porou, has been selected to represent Wellington Samoa in the Junior Oceania Tag Cup Tournament at Bruce Pulman Park, Auckland, in 2024.
Congratulations to Year 12 student Luke Scott-Hill who has been selected to attend the UC Science Camp later this term. Luke has mentioned below some of the details.
