Ms McIntosh, TIC Commerce — May 2, 2024
Both of the ECO101 classes got to see their learning in action recently at Trade Me, as well riding some of the six slides at Trade Me HQ and generally getting inspired about business and future career opportunities.
On the way home Ms McIntosh’s class got to try out the new Frank Kitts Park playground and lucked out by bumping into “Keep NZ Beautiful” who were carrying out a corporate clean up with Chubb Security. Students said their favourite part of the visit was of course riding the slide, but the talk about fraud and crime prevention, (fake Nikes anyone?) was also really cool.
Special thanks to Wytske Gart, Senior Talent Partner in the People team for hosting us and even making sure a few lucky students walked away with some merchandise, Trade Me Beach Towels!
But wait there’s more from the Commerce Department
