Karakia-mōteatea-mau rākau-whakapapa!
WAIRUATANGA
Wairuatanga is an integral part of our day here at kura where Uri learn and practice the following:
tuku mihi (opening mihi)
takutaku karakia (recite karakia)
Tuku mihi whakakapi (closing mihi)
Wairuatanga is when we acknowledge and honour our Atua, our tipuna and it is a time of reflection. It is the the way in which we ready ourselves for the start of another day.
We believe kura should be a happy place for all our Uri, therefore starting and finishing the day in the right wairua is important. Wairuatanga starts on the dot at 8.30am. Please ensure your Uri arrives well before kura starts.
