Simon Moriarty —

Hi team, As I sit here and write my final newsletter article of the year I can’t believe the year we have all had..........AGAIN!!!! As I sit and reflect upon this I am filled with a strong sense of pride and gratitude for the resilience, connectiveness, respect, responsibility, and most of all kindness we have all displayed. Through these values, we continue to grow our E Tū Tangata mindset and 2022 has been the perfect year once again to show "You Have Value", "We Succeed Together" and "Others Matter".

Firstly, I would like to acknowledge the Te Ahi Kaikōmko Rolleston School staff for the amazing work they have done this year. Thank you for all you have done in providing quality learning programmes and additional opportunities for our students. Thank you for the ongoing support you have provided me, other staff, and the Te Ahi Kaikōmko Rolleston School community.

Once again, a huge farewell to our leaving staff, thank you for the massive contributions you have all made to Te Ahi Kaikōmko Rolleston School. We are really excited to welcome on board our new staff in 2022. As mentioned we are super stoked to welcome Casey Brown to Te Ahi Kaikōmako Rolleston School.

A huge acknowledgment to the Te Ahi Kaikōmako Rolleston School Board of Trustees, especially our previous Chairperson, Megan Harlick, and new Chairperson Gordon Narbey, for all their support and hard work this year. It is great to work alongside a group of people who always put the needs of our students and staff at the forefront of the decisions they make.

To the Te Ahi Kaikōmako Rolleston School PTA, I would like to send my sincere thanks for all of your efforts this year. Special mention must go to Nicky O'Sullivan and Ellie Moe for their leadership and commitment to the Te Ahi Kaikōmako Rolleston School PTA.

Finally, we are so very lucky to be working alongside such passionate and kind students who live by our Te Ahi Kaikōmako Rolleston School values. Best of luck to our leaving Year 8 students. Thank you for your positive contribution to Te Ahi Kaikōmako Rolleston School. All the best for next year and beyond. I wish you all a very safe and enjoyable holiday break and am really excited about the 2023 year ahead. Just a reminder that school finishes for the year at 12.30 pm Friday 16th December and restarts for the 2023 year on Tuesday 31st January at 9 am.

Have a great break.

Cheers

Simon
