Principal's Pen

Simon Moriarty —

Hi team. I am struggling to believe that we are already halfway through Term 1! I suppose the old adage "Time Flies When You Are Having Fun" certain applies to the year to date.

Farewell Mrs Thompson

It is with incredibly mixed emotions that I announce that Barb Thompson will be retiring at the end of this term. Barb has had a highly successful teaching career and the students, teachers and wider Te Ahi Kaikōmako Rolleston School community have been incredibly fortunate to have been a part of Barb’s educational journey. Although we still have time to formally celebrate and acknowledge Barb's contribution we do wish Barb well on her next adventures.

Planning for a teaching replacement is already underway and we hope to be able to announce a new teacher for 8B5 in due course. In the meantime, it is business as usual, and much teaching and learning is still to unfold this term.

Congratulations - Miss Ellie Stuckey

Miss Ellie Stuckey has been appointed to the Acting Pōhutukawa Team Leader Position for the remained of the 2024 school year.

2024-2026 Strategic Plan

Property Upgrade - Behind Studio Blocks

Over the next few weeks, temporary fencing will be established behind the Studio Blocks (Studio 1 - Studio 12) in preparation to improve the pathways and access points. The current limestone chip, which is prone to pooling water will be replaced with concrete pathways.

Have a great weekend

Cheers

Simon
